Michelle Millar

My yoga journey began in 1998. After years of personal practice, I became drawn to the notion of sharing the teachings of yoga with others. I received my 230-hour training with Radiant Life Yoga and am Yoga Alliance RYT-200 certified. Additional certifications include completion of 100 hours of advanced studies and training in Classical Restorative Yoga and Restorative YogaFlows for yoga educators, including Yin and Nidra, 100 hours of Self-Awakening Yoga Therapeutic Essentials and 50 hours Creative Dynamic Vinyasa Sequencing through Nosara Yoga Institute. Training as a yoga educator encompasses classroom and private sessions, advanced studies in yoga philosophy and methodology, energetic anatomy and developmental movement, mantra and meditation-in-motion. Having studied a variety of yoga styles throughout the years, including Ashtanga and Iyengar, my true passion unfolds during Vinyasa and Restorative practices. I believe that the body needs an active practice, but also moderate and restorative, nurturing work. I am grateful for the many things yoga has brought to my life and want to share the benefits with others. Asana offers time to quiet the mind and strengthen the body, bringing mental, emotional and physical well-being. Classes focus on alignment as an integral element, along with pranayama (breath work) and the bandhas. By sharing the eight-limbed path of yoga, I hope to help students open a door to their inner wisdom.
